With standards, automation gets simpler.

Standards go from internal to industry-wide. At your core, make sure you have a naming standard that is rigorously maintained, using terms everyone understands. This will dovetail with your data modeling standards, an area where our IT industry is quite mature.

Then there are interoperability frameworks. The health industry has HL7, education has SIF, and engineers have IEEE. Conforming to these standards helps you select compliant vendors and gives you a consistent data exchange capability.

In education, that’s why we built SIF-HUB on the SIF standard: a student, a school or an enrolment means the same thing whichever system it came from. I tell that story, and how AI tools came into it, in SIF Meets AI.

Remember, automation relies on a solid foundation of standards, and Celerity Insights can get you up to speed with them.
